OpenLANES provides AI capabilities for NTN/TN networks. Each digital twin generates time-series datasets that include parameters such as topology dynamics, line of sight, link budgets, latency, and throughput ground truth, stored in various formats such as JSON, CSV, Parquet, and HDF5. These datasets can be used to train AI and machine learning algorithms for applications such as AI-assisted routing, traffic prediction, congestion management, and network resource optimization.
Furthermore, OpenLANES provides closed-loop control through monitoring and exposed services, enabling AI agents to make and execute real network decisions, such as handovers, dynamic routing, load balancing, and resource allocation. Every decision is observable through integrated Prometheus/Grafana telemetry, while the same interfaces allow trained AI models to directly control the network.
