Highly scaling evaluation environment
The network substrate of OpenLANES is extended to run the large-scale network emulation on top of multiple hosts, enabling the expansion of the emulation environment to the expected scale.
Using cloud networking virtualization mechanisms, OpenLANES can virtually interconnect an unlimited number of Linux container or virtual machine nodes, distributed across multiple hosts each with multiple emulated nodes running on them.
- No foreseen hardware limitation for number of nodes in network
- Hosts can be configured individually, or deployed using containers
- Nodes management is possible with access to each node using management interface
