Software Defined Satellite Networks Compliance
The architecture of OpenLANES ensures compliance with software-defined satellite networks in which a Central Control Center (CCC) is able to make decisions and transmit configurations to the satellite nodes through the usage of management bearers across the available inter-satellite links.
With this mechanism, network management data acquisition and decisions for satellite payloads can be achieved providing an essential feature towards the usage of repurposable payloads in the next generation of higher compute space deployments.
This feature enables an easy implementation of satellite oriented mega-constellation projects such as the deployment of routing solutions, security, as well as the validation of the network management decisions in the dynamic topology environment.
